What this covers
This policy covers the website torringtonpt.com and the software the practice uses to publish to its own Facebook Page and Instagram account. It does not cover your medical record or your care at our clinics, which are protected under HIPAA and explained in the Notice of Privacy Practices you receive at your first visit.
What the website collects
The website has no accounts, no login and no forms that store your information. If you call or email us, we use what you tell us only to answer you and to schedule care. Our hosting provider may record basic, anonymous traffic statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, browser type) to keep the site running. We do not sell or share visitor information.
Please do not send health details through this site
This website is not a patient portal. Email and social media are not secure channels for medical information. For anything about your condition, your appointments or your records, call the clinic: (860) 489-0867 for Peck Road or (860) 496-9851 for Alvord Park.
Our Facebook and Instagram pages
Our posts on Facebook and Instagram are published by a software tool that runs on the practice’s behalf. It works only with the practice’s own Page and account: it posts our content, reads the public comments and reactions on our own posts so we can reply, and reads our own post statistics. It does not collect, store or process the personal information of visitors, followers or commenters beyond what Meta already shows to any page owner. Anything you post on our pages is governed by Meta’s own terms and privacy policy.
Links to other sites
The site links to Google, Facebook and Instagram so you can find our listings, read reviews and leave one. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we do not control what they collect.
Data deletion
We keep no account data about website visitors, so there is nothing to delete on the site itself. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence removed, or if you want a comment or reaction of yours removed from one of our Facebook or Instagram posts, email info@torringtonpt.com from the address you used and we will take care of it within 30 days. You can also delete your own comments at any time through Facebook or Instagram.
